Yes, you saw that right. Banff Sunshine Village is still open for skiing and snowboarding… and it’s the middle of summer. After a record-setting snow season for Lake Louise and the second snowiest on record for Banff Sunshine Village, they re-opened for two rare weeks of lift-accessed summer skiing, running from late June until July 5th. I haven’t skied a Canadian chairlift in the summer in over 15 years, and honestly, who knows when something like this will happen again. It might truly be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
